Participants will learn how to creatively use a program called Flipgrid and gain confidence in their own presentations. Participants will create videos while adding fun features. By the end of the sessions, participants will have the skills to create these videos by themselves. Flipgrid allows you to use fun stickers and filters to add to your video to make them more interesting and eye capturing. Join us and have some fun with Flipgrid!

Outside of school, some of my favorite things to do include playing basketball, riding ATVs, and spending time with my family and friends. At school I enjoy math, reading, and science. Hilary Chase has taught math in Maine for 18 years, 10 in South Portland, 1 each in Freeport and Scarborough, 5 at Maine Connections Academy, is currently working at Massabesic Middle School. While her undergraduate degree is in chemistry, she graduated from the MAT program and the University of Maine with a Master's Degree in teaching, and a concentration in secondary mathematics education. In 2012, she presented at the ATOMIM State Conference on running a flipped classroom. From 2015-2019, seh was an adjunct professor at the University of Maine at Fort Kent through their Rural University program

Kyla, Ellis, Dawson, Ryker, Emma and Cole are founding student members of the STEAM Lab, and are veteran presenters on Makerspaces and hands-on learning. They are led by Susan Capwell, 6-12 Technology Integrator Specialist and former MS and HS Humanities teacher. They are all passionate about Maker Ed and helping teachers and students make learning more engaging, relevant, and fun.
