MLTI Student Conference 2020: Innovating Maine's future together in a virtual space!

MLTI Student Conference 2020: Innovating Maine's future together in a virtual space!

Why MLTI is Special

Maine students and teachers enjoy unprecedented access to technology thanks to the Maine Learning Technology Initiative (MLTI).

Started in 2002, the program has evolved but the goal remains the same: to provide State support for access to technology-enhanced educational experiences for all students.

Why MLTI is Virtual in 2020

The annual MLTI Student Conference stands as the program’s marquee event. COVID19 disruptions caused Maine DOE to initially cancel the 2020 MLTI Student Conference. However, after considering the needs of Maine students during school closure, Maine DOE and CATES re-thought the conference strategy and shifted it to a virtual event, one that epitomizes the 2020 Bicentennial theme, "Looking Backward, Looking Forward.”

Innovative Challenges

By 2030, Maine will be an international leader with a vibrant, sustainable, environmentally-responsible economy. All across the state, the people of Maine will have access to an unmatched quality of life and high-paying jobs.

To realize this vision, Maine must develop talent and promote innovation. Success starts NOW...with YOU.
